Old Mountain Road
Car vs. telephone pole

A car occupied  by a mother and her two children were southbound on Old Mountain Rd.  The mother turned around to see what was happening in the back seat and ran off the road striking a culvert before hitting a telephone.  The children were in child seats and were not injured.  The mother had a head wound and all were out of the vehicle when emergency vehicles arrived.  There were lines down on the vehicle.  Power companies were called in and a new pole was ordered.  Units from West Iredell Fire Dept., Troutman Fire & Rescue, Iredell Rescue, and Iredell County EMS responded to the scene.
